Coastal Current - Terms and Conditions
1. Acceptance of Terms
Welcome to Coastal Current. By accessing or using our online platform, booking any of our services, or interacting with us in any manner, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you must not use our services or our online platform.
2. Services Provided
Coastal Current offers a variety of tourism and travel services, including but not limited to: guided coastal tours, harbor cruises, kayaking rentals, paddleboard lessons, wildlife viewing excursions, custom travel packages, event charters, and eco-tourism initiatives focused on marine conservation. Details for each specific service, including inclusions, exclusions, pricing, and specific booking requirements, will be provided at the time of booking or inquiry.
3. Booking and Payments
- Reservation: All services are subject to availability. Bookings are confirmed upon receipt of full payment or a specified deposit, as indicated for each service.
- Pricing: All prices are listed in Canadian Dollars (CAD) unless otherwise specified. Prices are subject to change without prior notice, but confirmed bookings will honor the price at the time of reservation.
- Payment Methods: We accept various payment methods as indicated on our booking portal or by our staff.
4. Cancellations and Refunds
- Cancellation by Client: Cancellation policies vary by service and will be clearly communicated before booking. Generally, cancellations made within a certain timeframe may incur a fee or result in forfeiture of deposit.
- Cancellation by Coastal Current: We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule tours and services due to unforeseen circumstances, including but not limited to weather conditions, safety concerns, or insufficient participation. In such cases, clients will be offered an alternative date or a full refund.
5. Participant Responsibilities
- Health and Safety: Participants must disclose any medical conditions or physical limitations that may affect their ability to safely participate in activities. It is the participant's responsibility to assess their own fitness level.
- Conduct: Participants are expected to adhere to all safety instructions provided by our guides and staff and to conduct themselves respectfully towards other participants, staff, and marine wildlife.
- Equipment: For rentals, participants are responsible for the safe handling and return of all equipment in the condition it was received. Damages beyond normal wear and tear may incur charges.
6. Marine Conservation and Eco-Tourism
Coastal Current is committed to marine conservation. Participants are expected to respect wildlife and their habitats, follow all environmental guidelines, and help us maintain the pristine beauty of our coastal environment. Any actions deemed detrimental to marine conservation efforts may result in immediate termination of service without refund.
7. Liability Waiver
Participation in activities offered by Coastal Current involves inherent risks. By booking or participating in our services, you acknowledge and accept these risks and agree to release Coastal Current, its employees, agents, and operators from any and all liability for personal injury, property damage, or wrongful death, whether caused by negligence or otherwise, to the fullest extent permitted by law. A separate liability waiver may be required for certain activities.
8. Intellectual Property
All content on our online platform, including text, graphics, logos, images, and service descriptions, is the property of Coastal Current or its content suppliers and is protected by international copyright laws.
9. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
10. Changes to Terms
Coastal Current reserves the right, at our sole discretion, to modify or replace these Terms at any time. We will provide notice of any significant changes by posting the new Terms and Conditions on this page. Your continued use of our services after any such changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms and Conditions.
